Biography
Mr. William O. Hiltz serves as Senior Managing Director of Evercore Capital Partners II, L.P. Mr. Hiltz serves as Chairman of the Board and Treasurer of Lenox Hill Hospital. He serves as Senior Managing Director of Advisory Business of Evercore Holdings and Evercore Partners. He focuses primarily on Evercore's corporate advisory business. Mr. Hiltz has 24 years of experience in the investment banking business, beginning in 1976 when he joined Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. From 1982 to 1995, he was a Managing Director at Smith Barney, where at various times he headed the Energy Group, the High Yield and Merchant Banking Group, the Transportation Group and the General Industrial Group. In 1995, Mr. Hiltz rejoined Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. to head its Energy Group; following the acquisition of Dillon Read, he became Head of the Global Energy Group for the successor firm, UBS Warburg. He serves as Trustee of Northwell Health, Inc. (formerly North Shore - Long Island Jewish Health System, Inc.). He served as Director of EPL Oil & Gas, Inc. since November 2000. He served as Director of Davis Petroleum Corp. He was Trustee of the Salisbury School. He received a B.A. in History and Government from Dartmouth College in 1973 and M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1976.
