Biography
Dr Margolis’ research work is focused on DermatoEpidemiology and, more specifically, the epidemiology and treatment of chronic wounds. With respect to chronic wounds, it is important to realize that more than 7 million Americans suffer from these wounds and the US spends more than $10 billion per year caring for individuals, including their wounds and other medical problems. Dr Margolis runs an active funded research program and his research has been funded by sources including the NIH, FDA, AHRQ, industry partners and private foundations. His contributions are important to our current understanding and practice regarding the design, choice of surrogate endpoints and statistical analysis plan of studies addressing wound repair.
