Biography
Matt Van Dyne is a Senior Project Manager at Farr West Engineering. Matt provides civil and environmental engineering consulting services. Matt has played a significant role in the rehabilitation, planning, design, and construction management of water distribution and sewer collection systems, wastewater treatment, rate studies and a complex water metering project and multiple road rehabilitation projects. Matt has several years of experience in working on projects within the Lake Tahoe Basin. He regularly assists clients throughout the Basin on permitting, planning, design, and construction. Matt has managed several large-scale utility improvement projects throughout Nevada and California. He was the project manager for the City of Hawthorne’s Utility System Rehabilitation Project. This project consisted of replacing nearly 62,000 lineal feet of water and 58,000 lineal feet of sewer lines throughout the City. Matt was able to work with the Contractor to value engineer the design and incorporate pipe bursting, which provided significant cost savings to the client. Matt oversees our construction inspection services department and works closely with our construction inspectors to ensure our client’s projects run smoothly from the design phase, through construction until the project is complete. Matt earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. He is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Nevada and California. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Matt enjoys spending his free time with his wife and dog, and is active in the outdoors including mountain biking, fishing, camping and spending time at surrounding lakes.
