Biography
Dr. Rivera started college as a chemical engineering student. After three years he switched majors and completed his B.S. degree in chemistry. He then went on to do an M.S. degree in inorganic chemistry, finally completing his Ph.D. in physical chemistry. After his Ph.D. he carried out a postdoctoral research in theoretical chemistry. Currently Dr. Rivera teaches general and physical chemistry. As a teacher he is dedicated to the learning of his students, hopes to instill a passion for Physical Chemistry, and is always available to answer questions or doubts from them.
Research Interest
Current research projects and interests include: Unification of pairwise interatomic interactions, studies of solvation of hydrogen and halogen bound complexes, and pressure effects on vibrational relaxation in dense gasses. During his free time he likes to practice martial arts and go on hikes with his family.
