Biography
Mary Bacon is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, Midwestern Association of Forensic Scientists, chapter advisor for the Epsilon Beta chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, and an American Society of Clinical Pathology certified medical technologist. She is co-author of DO SOMETHING: The Art and Practice of Project-Based, Active Learning; Science and Crime: Active Learning in Forensic Science; and A Guide to Connect Learning to Performance.
Research Interest
She has taught a variety of courses in Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences Departments, including chemistry, physics and biotechnology courses. Mrs. Bacon has taught several workshops on DNA typing to high school and college students and teachers. She developed and, currently, teaches several courses in forensics science.
