Biography
Mr. Haer graduated from Thiel College with a BS in Chemistry in 1965 and for two years did graduate work in physical chemistry at the University of Michigan. From 1967 to 1969 he worked for Gelman Instruments as a project manager, and from 1969 to 1970 he was marketing manager for Transidyne General. In 1970, Jill and Fred Haer founded FHC, Inc., in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and in 1977 they moved the company to Maine. Fred is also a founder and President of STarFix, Inc., as well as Greenville Neuromodulation Center. He is on the Boards of Trustees at Thiel College and the United Way of Mid Coast Maine. Along with his wife Jill, he enthusiastically supports and participates in numerous “extended community” philanthropic and charitable activities.
