Jose Arias

Biography

 Dr. Arias was born in Pereira, Colombia and graduated from the University of Caldas Medical School in Manizales, Caldas, Colombia.  Throughout medical school, he was awarded the University of Caldas Trustee’s Scholarship and graduated with honors as Summa Cum Laude. He continued his education at Metropolitan Hospital in New York, completing his internship and residency programs; also earning the Best Intern of the Year award and served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He completed his fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at St. Vincent's hospital in New York, where he earned the Fellow of the Year award and served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow. In addition, he was honored to receive the William Grace Award for his contribution to research during his fellowship.
