Research Interest
Dr. Fleming’s specialty is in the area of composite materials and aerospace structures. His primary interest is in the area of structural analysis and he is coordinator for the Florida Tech Structural Mechanics Laboratory. He is interested in the crash behavior of vehicles and the computer modeling of structures under crash conditions. Previous research has studied the application of composites to crashworthy structures. He has also been involved in the development of design concepts for lightweight space structures. Other research interests include the finite element method.
