Research Interest
Dr. Harvey employs functional analysis and functional assessment procedures to evaluate and treat problem behavior of children and adults with autism and related disabilities in community and research settings. Recent areas of interest include evaluation of medical conditions as potential motivating operations for problem behavior, study of gene-brain-behavior relations for severe problem behavior, and preparing teachers and families to implement effective behavior supports at school and home.
