Ralph F. Hake

Biography

 Mr. Ralph F. Hake served as the Chief Executive Officer of Amana Appliances. Mr. Hake served as Chief Executive Officer of Maytag Corp., the holding company of The Hoover Company from June 2001 to April 3, 2006. He joined Maytag Corporation in 2001. Prior to Maytag, he also served as an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Fluor Corporation from 1999 to 2001. From 1987 to 1999, Mr. Hake held a number of management positions with Whirlpool Corporation, a manufacturer of home appliances, including Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, Vice President, Planning & Development, Vice President & Controller, President Baukrecht Appliance-Europe, Executive Vice President for North America Region, Senior Executive Vice President for Global Operations and Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. From 1975 to 1987, he was employed by Mead Corporation, Dayton, Ohio, in corporate development, financial positions, planning and administration for the paper company. He serves as the Chairman of Taxation & Economic Policy Group. He served as the Chairman and Director of Exelis Inc., until May 29, 2015. He served as the Chairman of Maytag Corporation from June 1, 2010. Mr. Hake has been a Director of ITT Industries Inc. since December 2002 and ITT Defense since 2002. He is a Director at Owens Corning Fabwel, LLC. He has been a Director at Owens Corning since September 14, 2006 and serves its Lead Independent Director since April 2011. He serves as a Director of National Association of Manufacturers. He serves as a Director of Iowa Business Council and serves on Advisory Council for University of Chicago School of Business. Mr. Hake served as an Independent Director at ITT Corporation since December 2002. He served as a Director of Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. from July 1, 2010 to May 2011. He served as Director of Rock-Tenn Co. since May 2011. He served as a Director of Amana Appliances. He served as a Director of Maytag Corporation from June 2001 to April 3, 2006. He earned a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Cincinnati is 1971 and holds an M.B.A. from University of Chicago.
