Biography
Ms. Denise M. Morrison has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Campbell Soup Company since August 1, 2011. Ms. Morrison served as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Campbell Soup Co. from October 1, 2010 to August 1, 2011. She served as the President of North America Soup Sauces & Beverages of Campbell Soup Co. from October 2007 to 2010 and served as its Chief Operating Officer from October 1, 2010 to August 1, 2011 and Senior Vice President from April 2003 to September 2010. She served as the President of U.S. Soup, Sauces and Beverages of Campbell Soup Co. from June 1, 2005 to 2007. She served as the President of Global Sales and Chief Customer Officer at Campbell Soup Company from April 28, 2003 to June 2005. She spent more than 30 years in the food business. She has a distinguished track record of building strong businesses and growing iconic brands. She served as an Executive Vice President and General Manager of Snacks Division at Mondelez International, Inc. from October 2001 to March 2003, where she was responsible for such leading brands as Planters nuts, Lifesavers and Altoids. Before October 2001, Ms. Morrison served as an Executive Vice President and General Manager of Confections Division of Kraft Foods, Inc., from January 2001 to September 2001 and was responsible for leading brands including Planters nuts, Life Savers candies and Altoids mints. She served as Senior Vice President of Nabisco Inc. from March 1998 to December 2000. She held senior sales and marketing positions at Nestle, USA from 1984 to 1995. She served as a Manager of Business and Project Development at Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company and began her career in the sales organization at The Procter & Gamble Company. She serves as a Director of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She has been an Independent Director of Campbell Soup Co. since October 1, 2010 and MetLife, Inc. since February 21, 2014. She serves as a Board Member of Enactus. She served as a Director of FTI Consulting, Inc. She served as Member of the Advisory Board for Catalyst Inc. She served as a Director of Ballard Power Systems Inc., since 2002. Ms. Morrison served as a Non-Management Director of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company since February 23, 2005. She is a founding member of the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation. She serves on the board of the Grocery Manufacturers Association, where she chairs its Health and Wellness Committee and on the board of the Consumer Goods Forum. She serves as the President of the New Jersey Women's Forum. She is a member of the GMA Industry Affairs Council. She was named to President Barack Obama’s Export Council in 2012. She is regularly named among the Fortune and Forbes Most Powerful Women. She has been one of Fortune magazine's "Most Powerful Women in Business" since 1999. In 2006, Ms. Morrison was awarded the Salute to Policy Makers awarded by the Executive Women of New Jersey. In 2003, she was named Executive of the Year by Snack Food & Bakery magazine and received the Althea Gibson Beacon award for business leadership. In 2001, she was appointed to the New York YWCA Academy of Women Achievers. She was inducted into the Order of the Cross and Crown Honor Society for academic and extracurricular achievement. Ms. Morrison earned her B.S. degree in economics and psychology from Boston College, graduating magna cum laude in 1975.
