Biography
Maher Abouzeid is the President & Chief Executive Officer of GE Healthcare Eastern Growth Markets. With more than 22 years of experience in the industry, Maher is based in Dubai and responsible for driving the continued growth and expansion of GE Healthcare’s brand in the region. He held various positions in medical devices companies assuming business development, strategic and operational roles in Middle East & Africa. Maher also focuses on channel partners and startup operation. Abouzeid joined GE Healthcare in 2007 as Indirect Channel Service Sales Manager for Middle East, Africa, Central Asia & Turkey. He moved to Egypt in 2009 where he served as Africa Service General Manager, before returning to the Middle East in 2011 as General Manager of Services for the Middle East & Pakistan. Previously, he led 3M’s Healthcare (Medical, Dental & Pharmaceuticals) business in the Middle East and has also served as DePuy Franchise Director at Johnson & Johnson Medical for the Middle East. Abouzeid holds a Degree in Biochemistry attained from the American University of Beirut in 1992 and is Six-Sigma Green Belt Certified.
