Monish Patolawala

Biography

 Monish Patolawala is the Chief Financial Officer of GE Healthcare. Monish joined GE Healthcare in May 2015 from GE Transportation, where he was part of the leadership team that transformed that business and delivered outstanding financial and operational results.  During his time at GE Transportation, Monish helped transform the business from a North American “rail” division to global transportation equipment and solutions provider while at the same time increasing the profitability of the business.  He also played a key role in the business’ expansion into adjacencies for growth, such as Mining, Signaling and Battery systems. Monish began his career at GE in 1994 as a member of the Financial Management Program and was a member of the first group of FMPs to graduate from India. Over the years, Monish has held finance roles supporting sales, marketing and supply chain in C&I, Transportation, Healthcare and Water. In 2000, Monish was named the Manager of Finance for Refrigeration where he oversaw a $1 billion expansion of product offerings for the group. From there he became the supply chain Finance Manager for GE Lighting, the CFO of GE Motors and then CFO for GE Ionics as well as for North America for GE Water where he drove operational excellence and improved profitability of the North American region. In 2008, Monish joined GE Consumer & Industrial (C&I) where he was the CFO of Lighting and Industrial and helped improve the profitability, operational rigor and built the strategy for the long term success of both the lighting and industrial segments.
