Biography

 In July of 2014, Rachel Duan was appointed the President and CEO of GE Greater China, while continuing her role as President and CEO of GE Healthcare China. Ms. Duan is GE China's first ever home grown CEO and the first female executive GE commissioned to the post. Rachel boasts rich business insights and remarkable track record of enabling customer success in China, thanks to her 20-year experience with GE. Before Duan took office as the President and CEO of GE Greater China, she was the President & CEO of GE Healthcare China since 2010.  Prior to that, Rachel served as the President & CEO for Asia Pacific of Momentive Performance Materials. Momentive Performance Materials, previously known as GE Advance Materials, was formed upon GE divesture at the end of 2006. Rachel joined GE in 1996 as Corporate Audit Staff. During her four years on Audit Staff, she progressed to Senior Audit Manager and led audits in multiple GE industrial and capital businesses worldwide. In 2000, Rachel was appointed as Six Sigma Quality Leader for GE Plastics Asia Pacific based in Tokyo. In late 2001, she moved to China and became the Lexan* Commercial Director for GE Plastics Greater China region. From 2003 - 2005, Rachel served as Marketing Director first for Greater China, and then for Asia Pacific. In 2005, she was promoted to General Manager for Polymer business in Asia Pacific region. In 2006, Rachel became the President and CEO of GE Advance Materials for Greater China. Born in Shanghai, Rachel holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and International Business from Shanghai International Studies University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in USA.
