Biography

Susan P. Peters is Senior Vice President, Human Resources, responsible for GE’s global workforce of 300,000 employees located in ~175 countries around the world.  In this capacity, she is responsible for Compensation and Benefits, Payroll and HR Operations, Industrial Relations, Global Talent Recruitment, Security, Diversity, Corporate Air, Leadership Development and HR Talent Development.  She also sits on the Board of the GE Foundation. Ms. Peters joined GE in 1979 on the Human Resources Leadership Program (HRLP).  From the HRLP, she progressed through a series of promotions including Labor Relations, and several Business Partner HR roles, including an international assignment at GE Plastics in Bergen Op Zoom, The Netherlands.  After additional assignments at Corporate and GE Plastics, Ms. Peters returned to GE Appliances in Louisville, KY in 1993 as the Sr. HR Leader.  She was appointed a Company Officer in 1997. She subsequently became EVP of HR for NBC in New York and then moved to Corporate Headquarters in 2001 to become Vice President, Executive Development.  From 2007-2013, Ms. Peters served as Vice President, Executive Development and Chief Learning Officer at GE.  She was appointed to her current role leading Human Resources for GE in July 2013.
