Biography
Mr. Drakeman is an entrepreneur and executive who co-founded several leading biotech companies and has overseen the progress of numerous medical products for cancer from research concept into clinical trials. Under his two decades of leadership as Chief Executive Officer, Medarex raised over a billion dollars, formed alliances with many pharmaceutical companies, and developed various therapeutic products. He has served on the board of directors of companies in North America and Europe, and on Innovator Fund Advisory Board of the Fox Chase Cancer Center. He is currently a Venture Partner with Advent Venture Partners, and a Fellow in Health Management at the University of Cambridge. Mr. Drakeman received an A.B. from Dartmouth College, a J.D. from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in the Humanities from Princeton University.
