Desiree Mohandas

Biography

 Dr. Desiree Mohandas grew up in Madison, Wisconsin where she attended both undergraduate and medical school at the University of Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2008. She was then accepted into the Medical Doctorate program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she graduated in May 2012 with awards for academic achievement and as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Mohandas completed her internship in Internal Medicine before completing her residency in Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in June 2016.  Dr. Mohandas joined our practice in August 2016 following her husband's acceptance of a position with the Emory University Cardiology Program. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Atlanta Association for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and the Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Mohandas is also a former resident board member of the Minnesota Dermatological Society as well as the Women's Dermatologic Society.  Dr. Mohandas enjoys treating patients of all ages and conditions, with a special interest in medical dermatology. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and crafts.
