Biography
Dr Linda M. Benedict is the owner of Georgia Skin Specialists, a practice which she began in 2001. Dr. Benedict is a Florida native who received her undergraduate degree from Emory University. She graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and then completed residencies in both Family Practice and Dermatology. She also served as Chief Resident of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Benedict has practiced dermatology in the Atlanta area for over 20 years. She is board certified, a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Georgia Society of Dermatologists, the Atlanta Dermatological Association, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. In 2007, Dr. Benedict was named Supervising Physician of the Year by the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistant Organization. She has been featured on the national TV show, “Heartbeat of America,” and is a frequent volunteer for skin cancer screenings including the Annual Georgia State Legislature screenings. Dr. Benedict is married to Dr. Alan Benedict, an ophthalmologist in Marietta. They have three beautiful daughters and when she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Benedict enjoys photography, painting, and spending time with her family.
