Biography
Dr. Howard Odom is a Georgia native who received a B.S. in Physics at West Georgia College in Carrollton. Dr. Odom entered medical school at Emory in 1986. Following graduation in 1990, he completed an internship in General Surgery at Emory. Dr. Odom was a member of the faculty of Emory Medical School. Dr. Odom left Emory in 1999 to found North Point Anesthesia Consultants, LLC. Translating his experience in academic hospital state-of-the-art anesthesia care to the world of office surgery is one of Dr. Odom's particular professional interests. Dr. Odom is active in a variety of professional endeavors. He is a Delegate to the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) from the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists (GSA), is President-Elect of GSA and is the current Chair of the GSA Anesthesia Care Team Committee.
