Biography
Dr. Price has been active and internationally recognized in the areas of cell culture and media development since 1958. As CSO of D-Finitive Cell Technologies and within his previous posts at GIBCO Invitrogen, he has helped to design and develop numerous specialized media for the culture of neurons, stem cells, and other mammalian cells. Prior to joining GIBCO Invitrogen in 1990, Paul was a Branch Chief in the Center for Infectious Diseases at the CDC and later founder and Executive Vice-President of Hycor Biomedical. Dr. Price has been active in many Scientific Advisory Boards including the Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB). At SIVB, he has been on its Board since 1998 and was recently elected President. He is an inventor, author of numerous scientific publications, reviewer for In Vitro and other journals, and an outside expert for grant reviews for the NIH's National Cancer Institute. Dr. Price has been an Adjunct Professor at several Universities, and speaks regularly around the world on cell culture related topics.
