Biography
Dr. Lara Stache is active at the University and Department level of community service. She is a member of the Intellectual Life Committee and on the DAC Assessment Committee for CVPA. She was a presenter this year at the GSU SHERO Women’s Leadership Symposium and a Girl Scout Troop Leader for 1st-4th grade girls in Hanover Park, IL. Her philosophy when it comes to service is about bringing her work background and research to the surrounding community to help others seek answers to questions that might help them in their own lives and careers.
Research Interest
Her teaching focus within Communication is Advertising and PR. She has 10 years of experience in ecommerce marketing working for companies like Limoges Jewelry, Market Day, & Sears Holdings, as well as working as an independent contractor managing affiliate marketing programs for clients including Clarins US & CA, Fathead, The Company Store, and Uniform City. She is a critical feminist scholar and focuses her research on persuasive messages of justice and power. More specifically, she is interested in how messages of empowerment are constructed within mediated texts. She is currently working on a book project that examines the cultural significance of the television series, Breaking Bad.
