Biography
Barbara joined GreenBlue in August 2016 as Senior Manager, Sustainable Packaging Coalition. She has a wealth of experience in event conception, production and delivery in the sustainability arena. Her role at GreenBlue involves curating SPC’s spring and fall meetings as well as promoting and developing SPC’s other educational offerings. Customer service-oriented, she always strives to deliver first class programs and attendee experience. Barbara brings an extensive network of contacts and relationships grown over a decade of working in the biopolymers, paper and sustainable packaging sectors. Before joining GreenBlue, she was Conference Director with Smithers Pira/Pira International. During her time there, she was responsible for over sixty events in sustainability and emerging tech fields held in North America, Europe and Latin America. She holds a Juris Doctor and an LLM in Business Law from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City. Barbara volunteers with the Aber Suzuki Center at UW-Stevens Point as she believes in the positive impact of early childhood musical education. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, trying out new recipes and exploring her adopted home state of Wisconsin.
