Biography
Amanda is an associate in GS&P’s Water Resources group with six years of experience in water and wastewater projects. She has served as a project engineer on numerous wastewater projects for the City of Springfield and Metro Water Services-Nashville. She has also worked on water line extensions with clients such as Springville Utility District and Giles County, helping to bring drinking water to new customers in small rural communities. Proficient in hydraulic modeling, Amanda has developed collection system models using SWMM5, SSA and XPSWMM by inputting flow data, calibrating the model, and then running simulations to evaluate sewer systems and potential improvements such as rehabilitation and storage. Utilizing Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) software, she has performed sewer modeling for the Hallsdale Powell Utility District and the City of Springfield. Amanda is a licensed professional engineer in Tennessee. She attended the University of Tennessee where she earned both a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, and is a member of the Water Environment Federation
