Biography
Bert serves as GS&P’s State Transportation Leader for Louisiana, working from our Baton Rouge office. A lifelong Louisiana resident and former Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development traffic operations engineer, he brings a high-level of knowledge of the region’s infrastructure opportunities and challenges. With more than 18 years of industry experience, Bert’s skill set includes traffic operations, traffic studies, timing and design of traffic signals, corridor and interchange modeling, safety studies, the implementation of access management principals and temporary traffic control through work zones. He also has experience in incident management, evacuation for natural disasters and traffic signal preemption in regards to railroad and emergency. Outside of the office, Bert is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), the Gulf Regions Intelligent Transportation Society (GRITS) and the Louisiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors (LSPS). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University.
