Biography
Blair serves as GS&P’s State Transportation Leader for Alabama, working from our Birmingham office. Blair leads efforts to grow GS&P’s transportation services across the state, and he and his team serve as a trusted advisor to ALDOT in the planning and design of intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and transportation management center (TMC) operations. Blair has more than 22 years of experience on a variety of planning, design and construction projects in civil and transportation engineering for state and local governments, as well as private sector clients in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. His experience includes transportation planning, roadway design, roundabout design, traffic signal design, corridor studies, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) studies, safety studies, and construction engineering and inspection (CE&I). He also has experience in sidewalk, trail and bicycle facility planning and design. Outside of the office, Blair is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and serves as an at-large member of the Birmingham Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Transportation Technical Committee (TTC). Blair also served on the Steering Committee for ALDOT’s Roundabout Planning, Design and Operations Manual and the ALDOT/FHWA Every Day Counts Innovative Intersections and Interchanges Work Group. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Auburn University
