Hal Humphrey

Biography

Hal is based out of GS&P’s Birmingham office and has nearly two decades of experience in the design of large wastewater collection systems, including sanitary sewer rehabilitation, inflow and infiltration reduction, SSO abatement, and the design of force mains, raw water pumping stations and wastewater treatment plants. As one of GS&P’s Practice Area Leaders for sewer system condition assessments and sewer system rehabilitation, Hal has worked with many of the Southeast’s largest utilities including Jefferson County, Alabama, on their Sanitary Sewer Collection System Rehabilitation Program, the City of Atlanta on their $93 million McDaniel Combined Sewer Separation project, and the Knoxville Utilities Board on its PACE 10 Overflow Abatement Program. Hal is currently working as the Technical Advisor with the Cities of Springfield, TN and Cookeville, TN on their SSO Abatement Programs to provide best practices for sanitary sewer condition assessments and rehabilitation implementation strategies, and with the City of Memphis WCTS – Condition Assessment and Rehabilitation Program. Hal is a professional engineer licensed in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. During his career, he has been a member of numerous professional organizations and societies including the North American Society of Trenchless Technology, American Council of Engineering Companies, Alabama Rural Water Association and Water Environment Federation
