Gresham, Smith and Partners is proud to announce that James Bearden, AIA, chairman emeritus and executive vice president of the firm’s Healthcare market, has been named a “Health Care Hero” by the Nashville Business Journal. The annual award recognizes outstanding men and women making a difference in Nashville’s healthcare industry. Bearden was recognized at an event on August 28 in Nashville. “James’ dedication to his clients, colleagues and community sets an example for us all and I am incredibly proud of him for this well-deserved honor,” commented Al Pramuk, chairman and chief executive officer, Gresham, Smith and Partners. “He has made tremendous contributions to the success of GS&P and our clients, as well as the healthcare industry as a whole, helping push healthcare design forward. His experience working with multiple healthcare systems, coupled with leadership positions within the Nashville Healthcare Council and the Saint Thomas Health Board, has made him a go-to, invaluable resource for knowledge and guidance in the evolving healthcare industry. Bearden has 40 years of national and international healthcare design experience in a variety of roles. As Chairman Emeritus and Executive Vice President of GS&P’s Healthcare practice, he provides leadership and direction for implementing value-added design and consulting solutions that meet Healthcare client needs and support the growth of the firm.
