Jim Alderman

Biography

Jim is a senior designer in GS&P’s Environmental Graphics Design Group. With over 30 years of experience in the planning, design and implementation of public branding, wayfinding and environmental graphics programs, Jim has directed and managed award-winning environmental graphics and exhibit design projects for a wide variety of municipal and educational facilities, airports, sports venues, convention and conference centers, healthcare facilities, retail and themed environments, urban environments and corporate offices.   As a longtime member of the Society for Experiential Graphic Design, Jim brings extensive expertise in wayfinding, problem-solving and information design. He was a contributing author to the Transportation Research Board’s Airport Cooperative Research Program's Report 52: Wayfinding and Signage Guidelines for Airport Terminals and Landsides guidebook. Jim’s design portfolio includes projects for many notable clients, including Nissan North America Inc., Philadelphia International Airport, the State of Tennessee, The Tennessee Aquarium, Alegent Health, Mars Petcare and Vanderbilt University, among others.
