Biography
Jim serves as GS&P’s State Transportation Leader for Kentucky, working from our Lexington office. Jim focuses on enhancing GS&P’s transportation resources and growing client services in Kentucky Jim has more than three decades of extensive industry experience, including maintenance of traffic and transportation systems, design management, personnel management, construction management, project control, specification compliance, site surveys and budget estimates. Prior to joining GS&P, Jim spent more than 20 years with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), where he served in a variety of roles including branch manager for project development, branch manager for planning, district materials engineer and staff construction engineer. While with the KYTC he managed numerous multi-million dollar infrastructure programs. Brannon also spent time as a supervising engineer with Parsons Brinckerhoff, where he led the design of the national award winning Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar project and the development of the Maintenance of Traffic plan to reconstruct a multi-billion-dollar bridge corridor. Outside of the office, Jim volunteers with the Fairhaven Rescue Mission, a non-profit organization serving homeless and disadvantaged populations in Kentucky and Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Business Administration from Xavier University.
