Biography
Kent serves as the Executive Vice President of GS&P’s Transportation market, providing leadership and direction for the practice while also steering business development and marketing efforts. He works from our Alpharetta office. Kent’s strong strategic thinking and management capabilities have enabled the acceleration of the market’s growth and a continued diversification of client types and service lines. Kent has decades of experience providing integrated planning, traffic engineering and roadway design solutions to state departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations, counties and cities in more than 20 states and internationally. He is a sought-after community outreach facilitator and educational trainer recognized for his technical expertise and consensus-building skills on controversial projects. Outside of the office, Kent has provided leadership in many professional organizations such as the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Transportation Research Board (TRB) and National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Transportation Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering, both from Pennsylvania State University.
