Biography
Luis is the Senior Vice President and Principal-in-Charge of Gresham, Smith and Partners’ South Florida office. With over 25 years of experience, Luis specializes in particularly complex healthcare design projects. He has performed as principal-in-charge, senior project manager and architect-of-record for a variety of healthcare projects ranging from hybrid operating rooms to new hospitals. Luis’ primary passion is to create healing environments while becoming his client’s trusted advisor and partner. His focus lies on bringing state-of-the-art cost effective healthcare design to the South Florida region. Luis is a registered architect in the state of Florida, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association and the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional, is EDAC certified, and is NCARB certified. After high school, Luis served in the United States Military as a combat engineer and continues his military support as a Veterans Link Up board member. Luis is a Leadership Miami alumnus and volunteers with several community organizations in and around the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area.
