Michael Bywaletz

Biography

Michael is a Senior Transportation Engineer in GS&P’s Transportation market, leading the North Carolina engineering practice from our Charlotte office. He is responsible for the project management and design of GS&P’s transportation and stormwater-related projects. Michael’s 29 years of diverse experience includes all facets of transportation design as well as hydraulic and hydrologic design. He has worked on a broad range of projects related to roadway and drainage design, flood plain analysis and erosion control for multiple DOTs, counties, municipalities and private clients. A firmwide technical resource and industry expert in transportation stormwater management, he also offers exceptional knowledge in green infrastructure and natural system solutions. Outside of the office, Michael is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and is involved in leadership roles with the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) at the section, region and national level. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
