Mickey Sullivan

Biography

As Executive Vice President of GS&P’s Land Planning market, Mickey brings more than 40 years of experience in the management of land planning projects across the Southeast. His experience includes important project leadership roles in both government and consulting allowing him to appreciate all perspectives. He has served as principal-in-charge on numerous projects involving building site designs, development master planning, stormwater and flood plain studies, community comprehensive plans, transportation and traffic studies, and greenways and streetscapes. Mickey’s leadership has resulted in a strategic expansion of GS&P services as land planning best practices evolve. Mickey’s substantial contributions to the engineering industry have been recognized on a local and national level. He was named "Outstanding Engineer of the Year" by the Nashville chapter of the Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers, and was nominated as a "Top Ten Public Works Leader of the Year" by the American Public Works Association. Mickey has been Nashville chapter president for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Tennessee, has served on the board of directors for United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, and is an active advisory council member for both Vanderbilt University and Tennessee State University for their respective schools for engineering. He is deeply involved in mentoring young leaders within the engineering industry.
