Biography

A senior engineer in GS&P’s Water Resources market, Ron is a technical specialist for water and wastewater treatment, value engineering, facility operations and biosolids and residuals management. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in project management and design engineering, which includes process selection, planning, design, value engineering, and construction phase services for municipal and federal water, wastewater and industrial treatment facilities. Ron has extensive knowledge of facility design, construction and operations and serves as one of GS&P’s technical specialists and Practice Area Leaders for water and wastewater facility operations and biosolids and residuals management. He recently led two upgrade-and-repair projects at two wastewater treatment plants in Guam and is currently working on a third resulting from an EPA issued Consent Order. Ron also led a biosolids management master plan for the City of Atlanta to assess existing facilities and recommend Class A biosolids alternatives, including thermal drying and land application for the City’s four water reclamation facilities. Ron is a licensed professional civil engineer in Tennessee, California, Iowa and South Dakota, a Board Certified Environmental Engineer with the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, and holds certifications in Value Engineering and as a Grade 4 Water Treatment Plant Operator in California. A member of WEF’s Water Reuse Committee and Water Reuse Policy Subcommittee, Ron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Sanitary Engineering from South Dakota State University.
