Biography
A serial clean energy entrepreneur, Christiaan Beekhuis believes that technology innovation is the key to a sustainable future and has spent the last two decades pursuing that credo. As the CEO of Gridtential, Chris and his team are pushing the bar to provide energy storage at scale. Under Beekhuis’ leadership, Gridtential has secured a number of strategic partners and investors. Before joining Gridtential, Beekhuis founded Fat Spaniel Technologies. As President and Chief Technology Officer, he scaled the company into a leading provider of renewable energy performance monitoring services, which was later acquired by PowerOne. Beekhuis holds five patents in software technology related to Graphical User Interfaces as well as renewable energy monitoring. He received a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cornell University.
