Biography
Keith Richman has served on our Board of Directors since February 2016. He is president of DEFY Media, a top digital producer and the largest owner of YouTube channels and leading media brands across the comedy, lifestyle and gaming verticals. Mr. Richman is a prominent voice on the implementation of workable business models in the digital video space and the convergence of TV and digital. He co-founded Break Media in 2004, and as the CEO was responsible for the overall strategic direction of the business, building it into a 160 person, profitable digital media company. He led the company through its merger with Alloy Digital in 2013. Prior to co-founding Break Media, Mr. Richman was the co-founder and vice president of OnePage, which was acquired by Sybase in 2002. Additionally, he co-founded Billpoint Inc. and was integral in developing the company’s business plan and raising venture funding, ultimately leading to the company’s successful acquisition by eBay in 1999. Mr. Richman holds an MA and BA from Stanford University in International Policy Studies.
