Biography
imothy Tyson is the Chairman and former Chief Executive Officer of Aptuit, a pharmaceutical services company. He is the former Chief Executive Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International. Mr. Tyson culminated his 14-year tenure with GlaxoSmithKline as President of Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain. He also held executive positions at Bristol-Myers in commercial and technical operations and R&D. Mr. Tyson has been recognized for implementing Lean Six Sigma practices at several companies by the International Society of Six Sigma Professionals as Leader of the Year and was honored as the third inductee into the iSix Sigma Hall of Fame. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Mr. Tyson is a co-founder of the Thayer Leader Development Group at West Point and has served on numerous associations and boards such as Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturing Association (PhRMA), CEO Roundtable, CEO Roundtable on Cancer, Duke University Health Sector Advisory Board, and the International Leadership Forum of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers.
