Colin Sweeney

Biography

 Colin Sweeney has nearly 40 years of diverse environmental experience in regulatory compliance, site remediation and waste management. Stemming from his prior leadership managing environmental affairs for a major utility, and through roles such as Chairman of the Utilities Solid Waste Activities Group Remediation & Response Committee, Colin has a deep understanding of the utility business ecosystem and the challenges faced by the industry. Drawing from this background, he works with his clients to navigate the regulatory landscape to develop lasting solutions that mitigate business risks and improve operations. Clients trust Colin for his ability to thoughtfully assess business risks and uncertainties and his strong strategic planning skills and ability to develop goal-oriented solutions. Colin has served in industry leadership positions with national and state trade organizations to foster research and advocate on behalf of the utility industry. He is a recipient of the Edison Electric Institute’s Chairman’s Commendation for RCRA Reform and engages Haley & Aldrich technical staff to support key research for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Colin received his Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from the State University of New York.
