Stephen Macintyre

Biography

 Mac has focused his career on helping people solve tough problems through respect for others, actively listening, and seeking continuous improvement. As Chief Services Officer, he works with Haley & Aldrich’s technical leaders to find better ways to solve our clients’ challenges by combining technical, management, business, and personal skills into services. Mac also seeks to continually evolve and improve our services through deeply understanding our clients, assessing their needs, and creating a strong partnership between our clients and the Haley & Aldrich team. This value-focused approach ensures our services create lasting results. Mac’s skills are based on more than 30 years of experience with improving value in the environmental, manufacturing, construction and management fields. He not only depends on the expertise of Haley & Aldrich’s staff, he also draws on his own experiences from an extensive array of areas including strategic planning, engineering, organization design, Lean, safety, remediation, environmental compliance, facilities management, capital planning, construction and sustainability. He brings particularly strong Lean experience and is a pioneer in applying Lean principles to many areas outside of manufacturing.  This has resulted in significant increases in value and improvements to cost, quality and schedule with our clients and Haley & Aldrich’s internal processes.  Mac earned his Master of Science degree in environmental studies and business administration from the University of Rochester and Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Northeastern University. Mac is a Lean Master Black Belt.
