Biography
Chad is a Certified Public Accountant and a Partner with Hancock Askew. He has more than 15 years of experience serving the business and accounting needs of both private and public companies. Based in the Atlanta office, Chad provides assurance and advisory services to Hancock Askew’s fast-growing private and public clients and leads the firms Risk Assurance and Advisory practice. He values Hancock Askew’s focus on providing quality customer service which follows his own philosophy of “addressing clients’ needs in a timely manner and working proactively with clients on technical issues to help build long-lasting business relationships.” Chad looks forward to assisting with Hancock Askew’s expansion in the Atlanta market. Prior to joining Hancock Askew, Chad worked in the assurance and advisory practice at a Big 4 firm in Atlanta for 8 years. Chad’s experience includes providing technical advice relating to initial public offerings, SEC periodic reporting requirements and implementation of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Over the past five years, Chad has assisted more than ten companies with the initial implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley along with consulting with companies on how to realize efficiencies resulting from Auditing Standard No. 5. Chad has held seminars for fast-growing private companies and public companies pertaining to the IPO and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes. Chad received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Georgia and his Masters in Accounting from the University of Virginia. He believes this dual focus in both accounting and finance provides him with “a solid understanding of the business and accounting fundamentals” which allows him to “provide value-added consultations to companies in order to address their needs.”
