Jodi M. Malis, Cpa

Biography

Jodi began her career in Chicago at Price Waterhouse after graduating from Indiana University, where she received her BS in accounting.  Jodi has lived and worked in the Atlanta area since 1995 and has over 25 years of dedicated public accounting experience. After spending over thirteen years as a member and Partner of another BDO Alliance firm, Jodi provides assurance and advisory services to private and public companies in the Atlanta office of Hancock Askew.  Jodi is famous for her “woo hoo” attitude and her passion for outstanding client service. Jodi, active in the Employee Benefit Plan (“EBP”) community both nationally and locally, was appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) EBP Audit Quality Center's Executive Committee and the AICPAs Technical Standards Subcommittee. Jodi enjoys sharing emerging matters and trends while presenting at various conferences and workshops on topics related to benefit plan audits.  She is a founding member and active participant in the BDO EBP Alliance community as well. Jodi is the Vice-Chair of the Georgia Society of CPAs Assurance Services Section Leadership Team, Vice-President of WIPs (Women in Pensions) in Georgia, a member of American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASSPA). Jodi lives in Alpharetta, Georgia with her husband.  They are the proud parents of a son and twin daughters, all of whom have recently graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology. Outside of work, Jodi spends most of her time with family activities and is a workout enthusiast. Believing that you should not limit your challenges, but challenge your limits, Jodi has enjoyed skydiving and run several marathons.
