Mr. Paresh Patel

Biography

Mr. Paresh Patel is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, President - Insurance Subsidiary Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Company., subsidiary of HCI Group Inc. Mr. Patel is a founder of the Company. He has been a director of the company since its inception and has served as the chairman of our Board of Directors since May 2007. He has served as chief executive officer since 2011. From 2011 to 2012, Mr. Patel served as president of our insurance subsidiary, Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Company, Inc. He currently serves as executive chairman of the Board of Directors for this subsidiary. Mr. Patel has broad experience in technology and finance. He developed and continues to oversee development of the company’s policy administration systems. From 2006 to 2011, Mr. Patel served as president of Scorpio Systems, Inc., a software development company. Since 2011, he has served as chairman of the board of First Home Bancorp, Inc., a bank holding company in Seminole, Florida, Since 2014, he has served as chairman of the board of directors of Oxbridge Re Holdings Limited, a publicly held Cayman Islands reinsurance holding company with shares trading on the NASDAQ Stock Market. Since 2012, he has served as a director for Moksha Re SPC Ltd., a Caymans Islands reinsurance company that ceased operations in 2014.
