Thomas E. Elliott is Adjunct Professor, University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and Chief, Education and Research, SMDC Health System and Duluth Clinic, 1990-2010; Executive Director, Essentia Institute for Rural Health, 2010-2013; Medical practice, Duluth Clinic, Essentia Health, Medical Oncology, Hematology, Pain Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, 1977-2013. he completed his MD, University of Kansas Medical School; Residency – Internal Medicine, University of Iowa; Residency – Anesthesiology, University of Minnesota; Fellowship – Medical Oncology and Hematology, University of Iowa.
Research Interest
Pain management, patient-reported outcomes in practice, measurement of health-related quality of life, use of opioids in primary care, cancer prevention in primary care, implementation and evaluation of clinical decision support and cancer clinical trials.
