Rich Scalise

Biography

Rich Scalise co-founded Hearthside Food Solutions in 2009 upon the premise that the food contract manufacturing industry was ripe for reinvention. Scalise envisioned a modern, flexible food manufacturer with the quality, depth, and resources a global food company coupled with the speed and ability of a startup. Rich Scalise brought 37 years’ executive industry experience—including bakery, protein, dairy, and contract manufacturing to this role. Those previous roles include President of Ralcorp Frozen Bakery Products and as President and COO of ConAgra Refrigerated Foods Division, growing that division to $3 Billion during his tenure. Under Rich Scalise leadership, Hearthside scaled over $1 Billion in its first five years and is now the industry’s largest contract manufacturer. Hearthside is also one of the fastest growing food companies. Rich Scalise is also a previous Past-Chairman of the American Bakers Association; he sits on numerous boards and is active in multiple industry initiatives, and associations.
