Biography
Carlos Aguiar was appointed Vice President – General Manager, San Sebastian mine effective April 2016. Prior to that, he was project manager for the San Sebastian milling operation from July 2015 to March 2016. Mr. Aguiar has held a number of positions at the company’s operations in Mexico, Idaho and Venezuela, including Processing Superintendent at the La Choya mine in Mexico where he first joined Hecla in 1996. He began his career in 1995 as a metallurgist and has over 20 years of experience in engineering and management in the mining industry.
