Biography
Clayr Alexander was appointed Vice President – General Manager of the company’s Lucky Friday mine in Idaho in June 2014. Prior to joining Hecla, Mr. Alexander was Director – Delivery Projects, Technology & Innovation with Rio Tinto (March 2012 to May 2014). Prior to that, Mr. Alexander was Deputy General Manager and Project Manager with Kinross’ Far East Russia Operations (August 2007 to September 2008 and June 2010 to February 2012), President and CEO for Sutter Gold Mining (October 2008 to October 2009), and Mine Manager for Stillwater Mining Company’s East Boulder Operations among a number of other positions (1985 to October 2006). Mr. Alexander has also provided independent consulting for various mining and engineering companies during his 37 years of mine management experience.
