Biography
George A. Sturgis was appointed Vice President for Project Development in July 2008. Prior to his employment with Hecla, Mr. Sturgis was owner and founder of Triple Constraint Solutions, a firm specializing in delivering project management services to the mining industry from 2003 to June 2008. Mr. Sturgis served as the Director for Project Development at Stillwater Mining Company from 1999 to 2002. Mr. Sturgis also held various positions with engineering, and construction management firms from 1979 to 1998 including Project Manager, Resident Construction Manager, Project Director, and Vice President – Taiwan Operations.
