Elias W. Admassu

Biography

Elias is an attorney in the firm’s Raleigh office.  His practice focuses on the areas of workers’ compensation, including catastrophic injuries; civil litigation, including products liability litigation; and appellate advocacy.  He has successfully defended corporate and insurance clients in federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies. He has in-depth experience as an appellate practitioner and has successfully represented clients in the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of North Carolina. He is also an active member of the North Carolina State Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, and North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.   Elias’s civic engagements focus on promoting equal access to legal services and mentoring. He has served on the local bar’s pro bono recruitment committee as well as its leadership development committee. He has twice received the Commitment to Justice Award from the Safe Alliance for his services on behalf of victims of domestic violence. He has regularly served as a pro bono attorney for the Council for Children’s Rights in custody cases.   Prior to joining the firm, Elias was a law clerk to Justice Patricia Timmons-Goodson on the Supreme Court of North Carolina. He has been selected by Lawyers of Color for their Second Annual 2014 Hot List for his achievements in the legal profession.
