HELIX Environmental Planning
United States of America
Biography
For more than 25 years, Michael has been providing outstanding environmental consulting services to clients, drawing from a rich background that combines environmental science, human geography, economics, and engineering. His work encompasses water and wastewater conveyance, storage and treatment; transportation facilities (e.g., heavy rail, airport, highway, and transit); utility corridors (e.g., pipeline, transmission line, and outfall); military operations and construction projects, and coastal development. After graduating with an engineering degree, Michael admits that he found his way into environmental planning essentially by accident: the “environmental” section directly followed “engineering” in his local newspaper’s Help Wanted listings. He never looked back. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Dartmouth College, and a master’s in geography from San Diego State University. He is a member of the Association of Environmental Professionals, American Public Works Association, National Association of Environmental Professionals, and American Society of Civil Engineers.
