Biography
As senior vice president and the director of Henderson’s fire protection and life safety team, Darrell Stein knows everything there is to know about how to not burn down a building— and we think that’s pretty important. Before joining Henderson in 1999, Darrell worked as a plans examiner and commercial construction inspector for a fire department, giving him a unique perspective on how our designs are received and reviewed. Throughout his career as a professional engineer, Darrell has worked on projects in almost every market including retail, healthcare, K-12 education, higher education, sports, corporate, and restaurants, just to name a few. But he’ll tell you his greatest achievement is growing and building a nationwide team of professionals, all with unique backgrounds and experiences, into one of the largest fire protection groups in the country. Darrell’s dedicated leadership and meticulous work ethic make him an integral part of every team, and a trusted adviser to clients all over the world.
